The F.O.C.U.S. Group at Oxford Elementary School was established to allow parents and families of color to convene on a monthly basis to work together to achieve the common goal of academic success for students of color.
Families of Color United for SuccessOur primary focus is the achievement gap and ensuring our children have the resources necessary to overcome the institutionalized racism. These monthly meetings are open to the public and all parents of students of color are encouraged to attend and participate. As we all know, it takes a village to raise a child and together we can create a village at Oxford. Together , we will strive for excellence not for ourselves, but for our children and our children's children. WELCOME
We, the members of the F.O.C.U.S., would like to welcome you to both Oxford Elementary School and to the F.O.C.U.S. for the 2007 - 2008 school year. We look forward to a lot of new events and activities this year at Oxford.
